Terms of Service

By using this website (storynote.io), you consent to our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy, as well as those of our subprocessors. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to us at admin@writingpeers.com.

In Short

  • We're a small independent company. We don't sell your data or mine your writing.
  • We don't train AI on your input or allow model providers to do so. We care deeply about your privacy and the freedom of thought and creativity.
  • We do not claim any ownership of your writing. You remain the sole owner of your writing and can export or delete your data from our platform at any time.
  • Your writing is encrypted at rest (AES-256) and in transit (TLS) in our database.
  • We use OpenAI APIs for AI features. Your data is not used to train or improve OpenAI's models. End-to-end encryption is not possible with AI at this time, since AI models need temporary access to your text to function.
  • Our database is securely hosted with Supabase, located in Sweden, and all backend operations run on Vercel Edge Functions, also deployed in Sweden. Both providers comply with the EU's strict GDPR and industry standards for data privacy.
  • We use Vercel Analytics to understand general usage patterns (like pages visited, countries of users, and devices used). No sensitive data (like writing content or personal entries) is tracked.
  • We use PostHog for product analytics to improve our service. PostHog only collects anonymous usage data and never accesses your writing content or personal information.
  • You can export or delete your data at any time from your account settings.
  • We only collect the minimum data necessary to provide our service.

8. User Conduct
